12/1/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved QMHPA arrived to the home of Kaila. Upon arrival to the home, Kaila appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHPA inquired about her morning. She verbalized to QMHPA that her morning was going well. QMHPA informed Kaila that this session was going to focus on reducing her depressive symptoms. Kaila did not present any symptoms of SI or HI. QMHPA began session by assessing Kaila her emotional well-being. QMHPA reviewed with Kaila the interventions from the previous session and asked Kaila if she felt that she had appropriate ways of managing her anger that has been leading to her feeling depressed. QMHPA educated Kaila on passive aggressiveness and informed Kaila that although she may not outwardly show her anger, some of her actions such as saying smart remarks, her body language and not responding are also inappropriate ways of managing her anger. QMHPA encouraged Kaila to be more assertive and to verbalize her feelings. Counselor encouraged Kaila to participate in a role play to practice how she would address her those who cause her to be depressed. QMHPA provided Kaila with reassurance and support throughout the session. QMHPA ended session by encouraging Kaila to continue utilizing art of music as an effective anger management technique, but reminded Kaila that the issue that caused her to become angry would have to be addressed. Kaila moderately participated throughout the session. Kaila stated that she felt fine, but did not elaborate on what that meant when prompted by QMHPA. Kaila stated that she felt she has improved in how she handles her anger, but admitted to snapping on people, yelling and becoming irritated. Kaila stated that she did not want conflict and that she did not know how to address issues that arise when things happen because she struggles with being able to control her anger when she is depressed.
